Amit Indap | President
This is my 3rd year as a member of the Hage PTA executive board and first serving as President. I'm excited to serve in this role because I believe in the power of community. The work that PTA does brings families together, creates a bridge between school and home, and helps give students a strong foundation as they start their educational journey.
I've lived in San Diego since 2015 and in Mira Mesa since 2017. Prior to San Diego, I lived in Boston, MA, Ithaca, NY, and Milwaukee, WI. After growing up in Phoenix, AZ, I am glad to be in sunny San Diego.
Professionally, I am a computational biologist and have worked on projects developing cancer vaccines & diagnostics and characterizing human & canine genetic variation. I studied molecular biology at the University of Arizona and hold post-graduate degrees in biology from the Medical College of Wisconsin and Boston College.
I enjoy swimming and am a Phoenix Suns fan.
Christina Dimalanta | Vice President
This is my third year as a Hage PTA member and my second on the executive board. I enjoy advocating for Hage students to help ensure they all have the best elementary school experience, and believe that the PTA is where parents have a voice!
I was born and raised in Mira Mesa and graduated from Mira Mesa High School in 2010, where I played soccer and golf. In total, I played soccer for about 20 years. My soccer club was AAA level and ranked second in the state in 2007, where I played left wing and striker.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in foods and nutritional science and a master’s degree in public health. I currently work as a Clinical Research Services Project Manager with a specialty in Cardiology Investigational Devices. I am committed to advocating for my sick patients in addition to my volunteer work with the PTA. I’ve appreciated discovering the many ways full-time working parents can be involved from home.
I married my Mira Mesa High School sweetheart, and we have a daughter, Ariel, who is in 2nd grade. Ariel loves to sing, dance (ballet/jazz/acro), and play soccer. Our family enjoys making memories at Padres games, Disneyland, and in Palm Springs. I love my coffee and can usually be spotted with one in my hand at all times!
Danielle Krogstad
-Treasurer-
My name is Danielle Krogstad, and I would like to introduce myself as a teacher representative on our PTA board. I have been teaching for 25 years in our district. I currently teach TK, and I’ve been part of this wonderful school community for 8 years. I LOVE teaching at Hage!
I enjoy being a part of the PTA because I believe that strong collaboration between parents and teachers is essential to student success.
I’m married to Kevin and he’s a Certified Public Accountant. We absolutely love watching our kids play sports! We have three daughters. Lauren (17) is going to be a senior in High school, Jessie (14) is going to be a freshman, and Taylor (9) is going into fourth grade. They play soccer and softball. I enjoy exercising, watching the Padres and Chargers, going to the movies, and drinking Starbucks!
Christina Adams
-Secretary-
My name is Christina, but you can call me Christy for short. I've lived in Mira Mesa for 4 years now and love the neighborhood! My daughter, Jessamine, will be in 1st grade this year. We started at Hage shortly after we moved here and started at KJA for preschool. Ever since, we've embraced the Hage Way, and I am excited to get more involved by being Secretary this year for our PTA!
My goal is to learn all I can about what makes our school so great and to help keep us organized and open to new ideas to keep improving how we do things. It's all about making sure the kids have a great experience and that parents feel heard.
Outside of the PTA, I work as a scientist in the San Diego biotech scene. I'm currently working for a company that's using AI to make better medicines for cancer patients. In my spare time, I love to read, have recently gotten into running and love to kick back with friends and family. Looking forward to working with the rest of our PTA this year!
Krista Castaneda
-Historian-
This is my second year as a Hage PTA member and first on the executive board. I believe everyone wants the best school experience for their children, and joining the PTA was an easy way to ensure my voice was heard while meeting other parents.
I work in Quality Assurance at a pharmaceutical company, where precision is key, and I bring that same attention to detail to everything I do. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing games, camping, and exploring Mira Mesa and San Diego with my kids.
As a working parent, it can be tough to find time to volunteer, but seeing the students’ excitement at events makes it so worthwhile. I’m a strong advocate for parent engagement and encourage every Hage parent to volunteer at least once to experience the joy we bring to the kids. As PTA Historian, I manage the volunteer roster and hours, and I look forward to working with you to make Hage the best it can be.

-Financial Reviewer-
This is my 8th year as a Hage parent and PTA member, and I'm excited to continue serving this year! When my family moved to Mira Mesa from New Jersey in 2018 and my daughter was starting K, I immediately joined the PTA as a way to meet fellow parents and make some new friends. I started as the Book Fair coordinator and later served as Treasurer and President. I'm excited to continue serving because the PTA plays an integral role in making Hage a welcoming and thriving community for all families.
When I'm not at Hage, at work, or at my kids' activities, my favorite things to do are going to Padres games or hanging out with my dogs, Sprinkles and Sammie.
Belvien Llanes
-Restaurant Fundraisers-
Hi, my name is Belvien Llanes. I've lived in Mira Mesa since I was 5 years old, went to Walker Elementary, Mason Elementary, Wangenheim Middle School and graduated from Scripps Ranch High School.
This is my third year as a Hage Parent, PTA member, and restaurant fundraiser chair. My Husband, Chris, is a Hage alumni!
You can find my family and I at local parks, trying all the new boba spots, or hanging out at the Lego store. Looking forward to another great year and hope to see you all at our monthly restaurant fundraisers! :)

-Newsletter & PTA Website-
This is my second year as a Hage parent and on the PTA executive board. Growing up in a family of educators and as a former Montessori teacher, I knew I wanted to be involved in my son’s school—so I joined the PTA when he started TK last year.
When the opportunity to produce the monthly Hage newsletter and manage the PTA website came up, I jumped at the chance. In my professional life, I work in internal communications—managing intranets and company newsletters—so this role was a perfect fit.
I’m passionate about education, love being part of the Hage community, and enjoy connecting with new people. In my free time, I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, audiobooks, and exploring all the great activities San Diego has to offer with my family.
